Jim Adams is the Director of Horticulture for the U.s. Botanic Garden. Mr. Adams joined our team from the National Park Service, where he was Supervisory Horticulturist at the White House. During his eight years there, he oversaw all horticulture for the site and managed the staff that tended the gardens and grounds. Jim is well known in DC horticulture, having previously worked as Head Horticulturist at the British Ambassador’s Residence and as Curator of the National Herb Garden at the U.S. National Arboretum. He is originally from Michigan and a graduate of Michigan State University.
