Libby Rhoads received a BA in Elementary Education and an MS in Curriculum and Teacher Leadership from Miami University in Oxford, OH. During her time at Miami University, she discovered a passion for informal education, which led her to The George Washington University where she earned an MAT in Museum Education. After graduation, she was hired by the U.S. Botanic Garden (USBG) as a Volunteer Coordinator. She is currently the USBG Chief of Learning and Outreach.

When not at the Garden, Libby spends her time figure skating and coaching with DC EDGE synchronized skating teams. On the occasion when she’s not at a rink or the USBG, she enjoys lazy mornings on the porch sipping chai lattes, hosting friends and family for crawfish boils, and going on long(ish) walks with her husband and dog.
