Schedule Change

On Friday, September 19, the U.S. Botanic Garden's outdoor National Garden will close early at 5 p.m. It will reopen for regularly scheduled hours on Saturday, September 20 at 10 a.m.

Pink lady-slipper has a range from Newfoundland to Saskatchewan south around the Great Lakes through the southern Appalachians and is mostly found in dry acidic soils under decidous and evergreen trees. Although prevelant in much of its range, it is protected in Georgia, Illinois, New York and Tennessee due to urban sprawl and agriculture.
