Chaperones: The USBG asks all school groups to have one chaperone for every seven students.
Time frame: Plan 1 to 3 hours for your field trip depending on the Visit Option you choose (see below).
Food: The USBG does not have food service of any kind, nor do we have an area where groups can gather to eat. Plan to have students eat before or after the visit.

Museum etiquette:
Adults are responsible for young visitors:
- Youth under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
- We recommend at least one adult per group of six youth.
- Adults must remain with youth at all times.
- Please stagger your times to visit the restroom to avoid overcrowding.
Please be courteous. Disruptive behavior not permitted:
- No offensive language, loud talking, singing, or playing music.
- Refrain from running, pushing, shoving, playing tag or other boisterous games.
- Do not throw objects or spit.
- Do not walk in garden beds or on garden walls.
Please respect our exhibits:
- Use our interactive displays gently.
- Do not touch or remove plants, plant parts, or objects on display.
- Stay out of the water and stay on pathways.
